His thoughts on Barbershop: The Final Cut:

Diallo says he prepped for the part “Kenny”, Common’s son, was challenging because in reality he’s really a good kid. So, he studied and watched Barbershop I and II as well as the movie “Juice”, where four inner-city teenagers get caught up in the pursuit of power and happiness, which they refer to as “the juice”. Diallo studied Tupac Shakur’s character, Bishop, to get that “juice” and transform himself into a troubled youth. The director also asked him to come up with of his own back story, to allow him to immerse himself in the character. All this led up to him being able to gain the confidence and ability to play the role of “Kenny”.
