Summer Fest Chosen
Quiet on the Set Magazine has been making the rounds visiting some of our favorite summer music festivals. Most notably, we were at Summer fest in Milwaukee. The eleven day event known as the world’s largest music festival boasts its’ eleven stages, over 800 acts, with over 1,000 performances, and close to 900,000 attendees. Performers included everyone from the Rolling Stones, to Stevie Wonder, Sheila E., Kendrick Lamar, Carrie Underwood, Esperanza Spalding, Mavis Staples, and a host of other notable acts too numerous to possibly name them all.
We also attended the 25th anniversary of Chicago’s Chosen Few Celebration. Performers were Evelyn Champagne King, and Stephanie Mills. It was the largest picnic to date, held in historic Jackson Park. There was plenty of food, fun, and great music to enjoy. We can’t wait to get back next year, but in the meantime, we have some of the highlights from both festivals to share if you weren’t able to attend.
